2. How TaxWise Uses Cookies
TaxWise uses essential cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies from advertising networks.
Essential cookies we use:
Authentication session cookie
Keeps you logged in while you use TaxWise. Expires when you close your browser or after 7 days of inactivity.
Preference cookie
Remembers your calculator settings such as filing status and state so you do not have to re-enter them. Expires after 30 days.
Security cookie
Helps protect your account from cross-site request forgery attacks. Session duration only.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Our hosting provider Vercel may set performance cookies. Our payment processor Razorpay sets cookies during the checkout flow only. These are necessary for the payment process to function and are governed by Razorpay's own cookie policy.
4. Controlling Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging into your TaxWise account and may affect calculator functionality. We do not currently support a cookie preference centre because we only use essential cookies.
5. Changes
We will update this policy if we ever introduce non-essential cookies. We will notify users before doing so.
